HotelBus Iceland Great Ring Tour

Day 1 - The Golden Circle
There is an early departure from Keflavik Airport or you can get on the HotelBus at the central bus station in Reykjavik.
The tour consists of the magnificent sights of Thingvellir, Gullfoss, and Geysir in South Iceland.
Day 2 – Dyrholaey, Black Beach and Skaftafell
After breakfast you will visit the dramatic black sand beach of Reynisfjara. Dyrholaey is the hometown for many different arts of sea birds such as LUNDI. From Reynisfjara, you will continue your journey towards the east through the enchanting lava fields and desert glacier sands.
You will arrive at the National Park Skaftafell in the afternoon where you will walk to the waterfall Svartifoss and explore the beautiful landscape of Skaftafell National Park.
Day 3 - The Glacier Lagoon and the East Coast
Vatnajökull glacier dominates the area. Svinafellsjökull and the magnificent Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is your next stop. Sometimes seals can be spotted in the lagoon. This area is the oldest in Iceland; the cliffs are between 16 and 20 million years old. At last, you will visit the capital city of the east coast - Egilsstadir.
Day 4 – Hallormstadur, Dettifoss, Asbyrgi and Húsavik
Today you will explore the area around Hallormstaðaskogur. The story about the mystery of Lagarfljots worm is Iceland's version of Nessie. You will also visit Hengifoss, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland before going onto visit Asbyrgi and walk in Sleipnir horse shoe among the cliffs. At the end of the day you will visit Húsavik and enjoy the midnight sun.
Day 5 – Myvatn, Godafoss and Akureyri
Today you will explore the nature reserve of Lake Myvatn and its unique surroundings. Black rivers and bubbling pools of sulfuric mud cut through a landscape that is rich of colourful minerals. You will stop at Myvatn nature bath then visit Krafla before going to Godafoss Waterfall. You will end the day in Iceland’s second largest town, Akureyri.
Day 6 – Akureyri, Skagafjördur, Borgarfjördur and Reykjavik
You start your last day by driving towards Reykjavik. After crossing Holtavorduheidi, you turn off the main road and visit several sights in the Borgarfjördur Area. From Reykholt, you will proceed to Deildartunguhver, the largest hot spring in the world, the beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafossar Waterfalls in Borgarfjördur. These waterfalls are some of the most unique in Iceland because of their unusual setting. You will understand why when you see them.
To finish up you will travel to Reykjavik and the airport in Keflavik.
The HotelBus can accommodate up to 22 guests. The bus is made up mostly of single beds however they can be booked as double beds too (96x200cm). Each bed is made up with a duvet and pillow. Each guest has their own seat at a large table too.
There is no check-in and check-out everyday and the bus is flexible about where it stops and for how long.
During the evenings, the HotelBus will stop at various campsites where you will get the opportunity to use the facilities should you wish to.
The tour includes breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as free coffee and water during the day.
There is a shared toilet on the lower level.
