HotelBus Iceland South Coast Tour
This 3 day tour along the South Coast of Iceland incorporates all things synonymous with Iceland - beautiful landscapes, the Golden Circle, glacier sea, the Jökulsárlón Iceberg Lagoon and the most amazing nature in Iceland.
On this trip you will see waterfalls, volcanoes, floating icebergs, cliffs, black sand beaches, geysers, hot springs and so much more.
Day 1 - The Golden Circle
There is an early departure from Keflavik Airport or you can get on the HotelBus at the central bus station in Reykjavik.
The tour consists of the magnificent sights of Thingvellir, Gullfoss, and Geysir in South Iceland.
Þingvellir National Park is almost considered a sacred place in Iceland. This is where the Icelandic parliament was established in the year of 930 and continued to convene there until 1798. Þingvellir has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Gullfoss is by many considered the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland. The iconic waterfall fed by the second biggest glacier in Iceland - Langjökull.
Day 2 – Dyrholaey, Skaftafell and the glacier Vatnajökull
After breakfast, you will go to the dramatic black sand beach of Reynisfjara. The waves have forged the shore and basalt cliffs over time forming many of the famous natural gems in the area.
From Reynisfjara, you will continue your journey towards the east through enchanting lava fields and desert glacier sands. The magnificent Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is your next stop. Sometimes seals can be spotted in the lagoon.
Day 3 – Skaftafell, Nauthusagil, Reykjadalur and Reykjavik
Today you will start the day with a hike to the beautiful waterfall Svartifoss. You will stop at several places and go into the valley of Nauthusagil. At Reykjadalur you will take a 6 km hike with bathing in a hot spring.
At last you will end up in Reykjavik and the airport in Keflavik to finish the tour.
The HotelBus can accommodate up to 22 guests. The bus is made up mostly of single beds however they can be booked as double beds too (96x200cm). Each bed is made up with a duvet and pillow. Each guest has their own seat at a large table too.
There is no check-in and check-out everyday and the bus is flexible about where it stops and for how long.
During the evenings, the HotelBus will stop at various campsites where you will get the opportunity to use the facilities should you wish to.
The tour includes breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as free coffee and water during the day.
There is a shared toilet on the lower level.
