There are a range of options for getting to skiing - the majority still fly whilst many choose to drive as it is cheaper and means you can pack all you need......
However, a favouite of ours is the Train - not generally cheaper but taking the train to your ski resort is relaxing, civilised and easy to do. You do not have to suffer the packing constraints imposed by the airlines and you can take your skis without being charged extra!!
What might a sample journey look like? See below....
There are direct options to Lyon and Moutier as well as indirect (change in Paris) options to Cluses (Morzine and Avoriaz), Oulx (Sestriere, Montgenevre and Serre Chevalier) amongst others

Autumn is an excellent time to get away on a ski holiday - generally, the flights are cheaper and the resorts are quieter so you get a great deal too......as there are only a few Europe resorts open at this time, the half term week towards the end of October can book up quite quickly
We offer several resorts that open in September that offer excellent ski opportunities. you will have the chance to take the lift up with members of international ski teams because this is a key training time for them.
The Autumn deals run from September up to the first week in December when the winter/higher prices tend to start.....

Many guests return season after season to the same resort and many to the same chalet or apartment......and we are very happy to welcome you back....but, if you fancy looking around for some other options, why not consider:
