Our chalet in Morzine is also just a five minute drive away from the Prodains bubble lift which connects you to Avoriaz and from here you can ski to Chatel, Morgins, Champoussin, Les Crosets and Champery which is all part of the Portes Du Soleil where you get a wide range of great skiing including fun parks to beginner slopes and for the advances skiers very difficult black runs which includes the Swiss wall on the border of France and Switzerland.

There is so much skiing available you can choose a different route each day so I would highly recommend getting the Portes Du Soleil lift pass when coming.

Over the New Year Morzine was certainly the place to be with not just great snow on the mountains but lots to enjoy in the town.

The countdown in the town square was a real spectacle that brought everyone together, with a live DJ and pop up bars keeping everyone entertained followed by a great fireworks display.

All of the bars and restaurants were happy to stay open so that the town could enjoy the New Year.

With February half term and Easter coming ever closer there is plenty to look forward to this season.

The local ice hockey team the Penguins play at the Skoda arena in town on Wednesdays which is always very popular and has a great atmosphere.

Between the 18th and 24th March the Portes Du Soleil welcome Rock The Piste which are high altitude music festivals across the different resorts each day which will certainly be unique and exciting.
