Over the month of March the Port du Soleil was home to many music festivals both on the slopes and in some of the towns giving skiers and holiday makers lots of entertainment in a very unique environment.

Rock the Piste has been a popular event for holiday makers since 2011 and year on year there are different artists on the line up include the much loved Rag'n'Bone Man in 2017 performing in Avoriaz.

Rock the Piste this year had performances in Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Chatel, Champery, Les Crosets, Torgon and Morgins which were hugely popular and being in March not too cold with many days having sunshine and blue sky.

The beauty of these music festivals is that you can still  get lot’s of skiing done as they are right on the slopes so when you have had enough you can just ski straight off.

Also if you are worried about these events impacting you on just having a nice ski holiday don’t as the ski area is so big that you can avoid the music easily with the slopes being nice and quiet at this time of the year too.

Snowboxx is also a very popular reason for people to come and visit, this occurs in the town of Avoriaz, you can book with us and stay in Avoriaz or you can stay with us in Morzine and head up the Prodains lift and be there in no time.

This year’s line up included artists such as Chase in Status and Fatboy Slim being hugely popular. These music festivals are due to return next march so get booking.

Alongside the festivals, there are plenty of other things to enjoy in Morzine and the surrounding area

Need some examples - what about Aquariz which is perfect for the family; or the ice hockey (see our blog) and of course the miles and miles of ski terrain.

Come out to Morzine and enjoy the whole area - and don't forget, it is lovely here in the summer as well.
