Skiing in Tux-Finkenberg
Ski and Glacier World Zillertail 3000
Tux and Finkenberg are situated at the heart of the Ski and Glacier World Zilleratal 3000 which is the highest ski region in Zillertal with 196km of pistes, half pipes and fun parks.
The Hintertaux Glacier has a 100% snow guarantee at altitudes of up to 3,250m. The sunny plateau of Rastkogel with the panorama downhill run, the entertainment found at the Penken ski areas and Eggalm with its brilliant run down into the village mean you are perfectly situated to enjoy all that the Ski and Glacier World 3000 can offer.
60km of diverse slopes from easy to difficult will hardly give you a chance to take a breather. On the wide slopes, skiing, carving and boarding becomes pure pleasure. Wait times are also a thing of the past with 65 of the most modern lift systems in a total of five connected ski areas. 80% of the piste areas are covered with snow in an environmentally sound way and visitors won't get bored due to the number of lifts and pistes!
Tux and Finkenberg have a great deal for children on offer. Children can let off steam every day at the Glacier Flea Park with snow tyre carousel, the Glacier Flea Safari or the Flea Park on the Sommerberg.
There's a big children's play festival every Sunday in Hintertux.
In the new Pepi's Kinderland by the Penkenjoch, the 8m high Pepi made of wood is the perfect place to play and climb. Inside the giant Pepi there is so much for children to enjoy such as a climbing wall, crawling tube and distorting mirror.
