Active Island Hopping by Sailboat

Most people would agree that the very best way to appreciate the wonderful Croatian islands is by boat! This 8 day adventure lets you enjoy some of the world's most beautiful islands and beaches, with active and exciting land activities like hiking, kayaking and snorkeling, all thrown in for good measure!

Sailing through these islands gives you an opportunity to see the hidden beaches, secret coves and bays of this dramatic coastline. You will embark the sailboat in a marina just minutes away from Split airport.  Each evening the boat will dock in small beautiful romantic Adriatic village ports where there are numerous possibilities for dining out in local authentic restaurants, or take a morning coffee soaking up the local atmosphere.

  • Day 1 - Trogir – Šolta – Brač

You will start your tour by boarding the boat in Trogir Harbour.

Your first stop is the nearby Šolta Island where you can swim, snorkle and relax. Next you will sail to Brač Island, one of the most beautiful islands in the Adriatic, well known for it’s stone masonry, olive oil production and wine.

You will enjoy a visit to Milna, a picturesque small harbour on the western coast of the island where you will overnight.

  • Day 2 - Brač – Hvar

Today will be spent on Brač Island with a cycling tour around the island.  You will start your mountain biking excursion by van transfer to the highest peak of all the Adriatic Islands - Vidova Gora (778m).

Your descent will take you through a multitude of typical inland villages including Donji Humac, Dračevica and Ložišće. You will take a break when necessary and spend some time in one of these authentic island villages.

While cycling you will be surrounded by well groomed hundred year old olive groves and thick pine woods. We will reach the sea in Sutivan where you will have time to relax before your transfer back.

In the afternoon we leave Brač and sail to Hvar Island, arguably the most famous of the region’s islands. We arrive to Stari Grad, where we overnight.

  • Day 3 - Hvar – Pakleni islands

You will get the opportunity to enjoy Hvar Island today before sailing to Pakleni Islands which is a cluster of offshore islets that are among the best the Adriatic has to offer.

Taking its name from ‘Paklina’, a resin once used to coat ships, the Pakleni Islands offer small, secluded beaches, deserted coves and sun-drenched hills.

Relax at pristine beaches and enjoy the fantastic cuisine in one of the archipelago’s well known restaurants. Across the islands is the town of Hvar, famous for it’s nightlife and cocktail bars. We overnight on Pakleni islands.

  • Day 4 - Hvar – Vis

Today will be spent actively on the Island of Hvar.  You will take a hike through the olive groves starting in Hvar town where you will meet your guide.  A 20 minute bus transfer will take you to the village of V.Grablje from where you will hike through villages full of traditional architecture and learn about the way of living, the medical herbs and much more. There is a possibility to try the homemade vine, prosek or grappa, prepared in a traditional way.

It usually takes around 1 hour from Velo Grablje to Malo Grablje, including short stops for some explanations and pictures taking.

After arrival to this picturesque, hidden village of Malo Grablje you continue walking for about 45 minutes on a wide, gravelly road to Milna. A walk from Milna back to Hvar follows a small, rocky trail and it lasts approximately 1.5 hours.

After this land experience on Hvar island, we sail to Vis island, an island paradise in it’s own right. Overnight on Vis.

  • Day 5 - Vis

Today you will see the beauty of Vis with a bicycle ride on the island. Riding though gorgeous olive groves to Komiža, you will experience numerous opportunities for photographing the beautiful landscape or just enjoying the views.

In the charming village of Komiža, you can stop for lunch or a coffee before getting back on the bike and riding to one of the authentic villages on the island for an exclusive wine tasting.

After the bike tour, you can spend the whole day on the island’s fantastic hidden beaches and coves, swimming and relaxing. We overnight on Vis island.

  • Day 6 - Vis – Pakleni islands

Take the time on this day to further explore the beauties of Vis, including famous green caves and enjoy the sun on board of your boat. Relax in the sun and swim in the clear blue sea, or opt for some snorkeling. In the afternoon we sail back in the direction of Hvar island for overnight on Pakleni islands.

  • Day 7 - Hvar – Šolta

After so many activities today is a day of relaxation to recharge those batteries!  Have lunch in one of the many fantastic Hvar restaurants, spend time on one of the beaches or grab a cocktail in one of the famous bars in Hvar!

There is an optional cycling trip up to the Hvar fortress for some great views of the town and Pakleni Islands.

We then must continue our sail towards Trogir base. You will overnight halfway, in Nečujam on Šolta island.

  • Day 8 - Šolta – Trogir
