Alsace is known for its gastronomy, its wine, its history as well as for its half-timbered houses. This tour will take you through the beautiful region discovering some of France's most stunning cycle paths along the way.

Getting here

- we can arrange airport or train transfers from Strasbourg

  • Day 1: Arrival in Strasbourg

    Arrival in Strasbourg, settling into the hotel and free visit of the city.

  • Day 2: Strasbourg –Obernai (37 km)

    The canal “La Bruche” was used in the past to transport wine from the wine regions to the chief town. Today the cycle path along the canal leads you from Strasbourg to Molsheim located on the Wine Road to Obernai.

  • Day 3: Obernai – Andlau (14 km)

    The cycle path leads you through the famous vineyard and its wine villages: Barr, Mittelbergheim and Andlau. You will be at the heart of the Alsatian vineyard. At the “Atelier de la Seigneurie” the wine growers shall make you share their knowledge.

  • Day 4: Andlau – Saint Hippolyte (25 km)

    Between Andlau and Saint Hippolyte a short stage through the villages of the vineyards to be savoured.

  • Day 5: Saint Hippolyte– Kaysersberg (20 km)

    Today is on your way the factory of chocolate Daniel Stoeffel that you can visit and also taste some chocolates... On the path is also the museum of the wine in Kientzheim.

  • Day 6: Kaysersberg – Eguisheim (20 km)

    Appreciate some more of the wonderful atmosphere of Kaysersberg, the cycle paths leads you towards Eguisheim today. The village of Eguisheim will be elected favourite village of the French People in 2013.

  • Day 7: Eguisheim - Colmar (16 km)

    A short stage today will allow you to discover the old town of Colmar. Discover Colmar in a different way: The “Little Venise” is a picturesque area in the heart of the old city through which flows a quiet river called the Lauch. Come and discover on a flat-bottomed boat its lovely, authentic landscape. You will be charmed by this original view of Colmar.

  • Day 8: Colmar – Strasbourg

    Today you will take the train to go back to Strasbourg.

    This is the end of your tour 

    You can either head for home or you can an additional night - at a supplement

what we like

  • You will ride mainly on cycle paths, on minor agricultural tarred roads or on little secondary roads without much traffic. Days 4 and 5 are a little bit hilly.
