Situated in the the heart of the Belleville valley (the largest of the three valleys), Les Menuires offers a high altitude good value option in the prestigious Three Valleys ski area. Traditionally a ski in/ski out resort, the resort has undergone much aesthetic improvement in recent years and is renowned for being family friendly having earnt the prestigious 'famille plus' award.
Skiing & Boarding in Les Menuires
People come to Les Menuires principally for its skiing. Even though Les 3 Vallées remains the main attraction for skiers, the Les Menuires ski area meets the requirements of even the most demanding thanks to the variety of its pistes, the quality of its lift system and, above all, the guarantee of great snow which has permitted the resort to launch the “Snow Guaranteed” label.
The ski area also has fun areas, such as the Walibi Gliss, favourite family playgrounds, or the BK Park for budding freestylers. But its best kept secret is the virgin slopes. Les Menuires ski area is fantastic in its own right, with 160km of pistes, 79 slopes and 4 fun areas. The Sevabel in Les Menuires is renovating the Bruyères gondola, which links the resort to Les 3 Vallées. There will be new 8-seater cabins, the departure area will be extended and the lift will be faster. Roc 1 gondola will be updated with an extension of the station and a faster flow: 3,200 people per hour instead of 2,800. The Grange chairlift is also updated
For those who want to make the most of The Three Valleys area, head over into Meribel or Mottaret or make it a full day over to Courchevel. With 600km of piste and over 190 lifts, the Three Valleys is an area unlike any other. The resort of Val Thorens is surrounded by 6 glaciers, ensuring skiing throughout the long winter season and into the summer. The resort has a great deal to offer from wonderful skiing to plenty of facilities. With a superb sports complex complete with a great swimming pool and spa, a 4km long toboggan run and a host of shows and entertainment on offer; the whole family will be kept amused throughout your stay. 'Family Plus' label Even though it is known as excellent resort for everyone, Les Menuires has particularly paid attention to the welcome it gives to families.
For the Youngsters
With its two Children’s Clubs, one of which accepts children from the age of 3 months, its toboggan castle sculpted in the snow for the very young, its children’s music festival “Boules de Notes” and its “taste bud” entertainment, the resort makes sure that the little ones are happy and thus guarantees the happiness of their parents.
It’s not surprising that Les Menuires has been awarded the “Family Plus” label, a label which it has been supported ever since its creation.
