Skiing in Folgaria
Situated in a sunny plateau above the Trentino valley, Folgaria is a well established resort and a great location for a ski holiday. The heart of this traditional village is pedestrianised and is lovely offering some excellent shopping alongside lively bars.It has a genuine Italian atmosphere and the ski area offers skiing for all levels and offers 100km of piste.
We offer options in the centre of Folgaria as well as in the satelite villages of Costa and Serrada - both benefit from being able to ski back down to the village.
Ski area of Folgaria
Folgaria is located in the Trentino Dolomites and combines the ski areas of numerous smaller villages including the Costa, Fondo Grande and Serrada ski regions. Most of the skiing is through tree-lined pistes on well-maintained slopes, many of which are snow cannon protected.
The lift-pass covers over 100km of pistes with lifts from Folgaria connecting to neighbouring areas Francolini, Fondo Piccolo and Passo Coe rising to a height of 2,060m. Skiing at Lavarone and Forte Cherle is possible on the same lift pass
Cross crountry Skiing
If cross country skiing is your ideal, Passo Coe is a large plateau at an altitude of 1600m, where you will find the cross-country ski Centre. There are various slopes, 45 km in total which are FISI approved for national and international competitions and are well adapted to tose who are beginners or competitive racers.

The accommodations in the village of Folgaria have short walks to the lift but there are buses available that run regularly and are free with the lift pass.
We offer a couple of options in Serrada - it is possible to ski back down to this village. Similarly for the satellite village of Costa

Child care in Folgaria
The children can enjoy the big baby parks of the Alpe Cimbra ski area! Children and adults will enjoy playong with snow tubing or sledges, and with the funny mascots the witch Perty, the elf Flick and Manny & more..........
Alpe Cimbra offers various entertainment for children like the Family Emotion program proposed in the baby park of Folgaria by many of the hotels & residences in resort (do conrtact us if we can advise further).
For the infants, there is a creche facility for those from 0 - 3 years - the nursery della Strega is located in Fondo Piccolo - so, it is preferable to pick the accommodations in that area unless, you are self-driving to resort.
There are a range of activities that can be enjoyed in Passo Tonale including

The resort can be accessed from the UK by air or by train - it is also possible to drive but, at 11 hours from Calais, it is not the easiest journey.
If flying, we can off options from Verona or Milan
The train is often a cost effective option as you will not suffer hefty baggage charges for the hold bag or for your ski equipment.
Getting to Italy is best done by taking the Eurostar to Paris (departs from St Pancras or Ashford) and then taking the Paris to Verona train.
